Currants

Finally, after years on my wish list, I have Currant bushes in the ground. Two Red Lake Ribes from Platt Hill Nursery, grown by Bailey Nurseries.

A little walk about

Grass looks dry
 Sunflower - Nice to see right outside the kitchen window
 Relocated and happy
 The wild section
 Butterfly bush attracts more bumblebees, and they fight over it.
 Front yard walk. Last year's mum is coming back well; grasses, sedum looking good.

 Kale and big grass
 Sage, grass, phlox, sedum, balloon flowers

 White snakeroot

Hydrangea on the west side is in full bloom.

1st box: beans, chard, spinach, eggplant
2nd box: tomatoes
3rd box: radishes, carrots, lettuce, spinach
South fence line: peppers, zucchini, pumpkin, watermelon, cucumber

Lawn mowing #7

I used the man-powered reel mower as today has an Air Quality Alert: Quiet and (mostly) emission-free. I sure put out my share of CO2 from respiration. You are welcome. Great core workout too.
